We made it to Munich after a five plus hour drive from Prague. The countryside was beautiful, mostly rolling hills with farms and pine trees. We stopped about halfway at a rest stop which had a gas station and… you guessed it, a McDonald’s.
We finally arrived at our hotel, the Eurostars Book Hotel. This hotel is about five years old with a very modern theme based on literature. Let me show some images of the hotel.
Here’s the front desk. Notice the book hanging on the wall…..
The hallways are very interesting. In keeping with the hotel theme, there is a book title on the wall next to every room door.
The rooms are very nice but lack certain things you would expect to see in a hotel room, like a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and wash cloths. I’m not kidding. Here’s what they look like.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel. The hotel employees are very nice and accommodating. While the street it’s on in not what you might expect to see in Munich, the real Munich experience is a five minute walk away in all directions.
